CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety

This new CIEH qualification is a great introduction to food safety and is run as a half day course.

The new CIEH Level 1 awards in food safety are run as half-day courses, suitable for a variety of candidates, including new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff.

The aim of the course is to provide food handlers with an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food hygiene practice and to equip them with the practical skills necessary to work safely with food.

Course Duration:

Half Day Programme (3 Hours)

Assessment:

Assessment procedure 15 multiple choice question examination

Course Content:

  • Food Safety (food hygiene, hazards, responsibilities)
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Cleaning
  • Contamination

Certification:

CIEH Approved certificate valid for 3 years

Whilst your qualification will remain valid, we do recommend that refresher training is undertaken after 3 years.
